Day 228; At the Pretty Girl's Table

 At The Pretty Girl’s Table

This past weekend I had the opportunity to work with a group of amazing women. The first night  we met, we all went out to dinner. My new sister Daria commented that she took one look around the table and realized that she had finally made it to the pretty girl’s table.
She said she wondered how she had gotten here and I laughed and told her that I was everyone’s auntie that they just brought along to be nice. She corrected me and I did the same for her, each of us telling one another that we define the pretty girl’s table.

We all still carry the insecurities of our youth. If someone had said you are at the smart girls table and a group of rocket scientist showed up, I would have felt just as awkward.

When we look around a room, a table or anywhere comparing ourselves to one another, we will always find some way to feel insecure.
Look again and when you do see the reflection of yourself in your sister and brothers eyes and heart.

The longer we sat there, the more we became the reflection of love that brought us together.

We need we; there is no other way to say it.

So throw your shoulders back, smile and laugh because you deserve to be at the pretty, smart, nice, beautiful table.

Be you, be well, be pretty.
