Day 157 of Your Year to Wellness; What We Don't Say

What the world needs now...
                       I Love You

As we continue on this journey of wellness I am compelled to remind you of this; we all need to say “I love you” more than we already do.
We get all kinds of information through text, email, im’s and on and on and on. We can Skype and video conference, but still, we fail to open our hearts to one another.
Today, I’d like you to join me on a little experiment (come on and humor the sociologist.)
I’d like you to tell folks that you love them or that you love something about them. “I love your shoes, I love the way you love your work.”
Try to use the word “love” at least once every hour to someone you would not normally use the word with. Yes, I can hear the HR minds churning.
There is a method to my madness; I think that love really does conquer all; and while we try to make the most of our intellect, we use very little of our heart.
Today, use the L word. Tell someone that you love their work, their shoes and if you feel safe, go ahead and tell them that you love them.
We really do need more love in the world and so I’d like you to let it begin with you.
As you do, make the following observations:

·         How does it make you feel and think?

·         How did the recipient respond?

·         Is there a relationship between number of times said and your comfort in saying it?

·         How does it change your mood and your day?

Love is not measured by what you get; it is measured by what you give.

Be you, be well, be Love

  1. OK, then ... I'll start with you. I've only just started with your blog (after being touched and enlightened by your presentation at the Aramark PD day last week) and I think you are wonderful! I love how you share your thoughts and ideas with us (and so early in the morning) everyday. In addition to the daily post, I am now going to start reading an extra post or two every day so that I can catch up on your wisdom.
